Lamar Odom
Greetings My fellow Observers,
What can we say about Lamar Odom, is lying in a hospital in Las Vegas being kept alive on life support? Because of who he is, it is quite easy to discount Lamar as one of the many celebrities to allow their lives to fall into shambles. This man is and has always been troubled, starting with his heroin addicted father.
While growing up on the streets of Queens New York, Lamar, who is 6'10" tall, with the strength of Shaquille O'Neil and the basketball fundamentals of Magic Johnson, realized early that these attributes would take him to the NBA and places beyond. He lost interest in education and all other matters that ordinary citizens must deal with. He was raised by a grandmother who tried her best to keep him on the straight and narrow also realized that Lamar, through basketball would be self contained.
After his first and only year of college play at Rhode Island University, Lamar entered the NBA and became an immediate star while winning two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has led a very intriguing life to say the least that has been filled much triumph and failure. Here are a few highlights and low lights of a rather interesting existence .
1. Born to heroin addicted father and lost his mother to cancer
2. Raised by a grandmother
3. Attended one year of college in Rhode Island and then turned pro
4. He lost a child to sudden infant death when he was 26
5. His cousin was killed when he was 31
6. After his cousin's funeral he was driving a car and lost control
and killed a 15 year old boy.
7. He also lost a very close friend to a drug overdose a few months ago
8. To top this off, he married Khloe Kardashian and became a part of the family's reality show where he had periods of disappearance that caused the family to search for him.
To say the least Lamar Odom had demons in his life and whether you want to blame him for all of this misdeeds, they were not all
his fault. But one cannot help but to suspect that Lamar was at the brothel in Nevada to end his life like many men dream about leaving.
Let's hope that Lamar recovers from this very unfortunate incident so that he can see how much he is loved. Then all that he has to do is accept it.

Enough with the damn emails!
Greetings my fellow Observers,
During the Democratic debate last night Bernie Sanders made the comment of the debate season when asked about the investigation of the Hillary Clinton email scandal, Simply put Mr. Sanders stated and almost screamed; "enough about the damn emails. Americans are tired of hearing about these emails, they want to hear about issues!"
Contrary to Mr. Trump's opinion and the prognostications of many Republicans, who tried to poison the water, before the debate with their comments about the Democratic debate being boring. Boring it was not. Educational and informative it was.
The candidates discussed all issues from foreign policy to the inequality of wealth in America. All of the candidates tried to express their Democratic ideals which made for a very cordial and professional debate. Very unlike the childish name calling and banter that has been displayed during the Republican debate.
Hillary Clinton was very formidable, with Bernie Sanders possibly expanding his base with his performance. They both dominated the debate with Martin O'Malley chiming in on occasion. Senators Chaffey and Webb looked especially out of their league while making curious and incorrect comments about their voting records.
The issues discussed in this debate, were extremely important, but to Mad Man, they pale in comparison to the quality and performance of the participants. The comparison between the Democratic and Republican debates is like comparing adult discussions, by the Democrats, to playground trash talking, by the Republicans.
Please don't be fooled. The Republican's plan is very, very simple. They refuse to discuss their views on all issues that Americans must deal with on a daily basis because their platform is not to address these issues. They have sold their soul or better still, been enslaved by corporate lobbyist who promise these very corrupt Republicans wealth.
It is becoming more obvious everyday to Mad Man because he now is gaining a better perspective of what is driving the Republican party. Simply put, they are a bunch of greedy assholes who are 'playing" politics with people's lives to create personal wealth. Just look at all politicians after they leave office. They become wealthy lobbyist or consultants.
What makes this such an awful observation is the fact that while Republicans are trying to diminish the Federal Government and eliminate programs that help the citizens of this country, the Democrats are doing just the opposite. What is even more telling is that they both get rich on leaving office, yet the Republicans choose to destroy the lives of many before they exit.
This debate, for no other reason, should have been a moment of pride for all Americans due to the very professional way that it was conducted, the topics discussed, and the businesslike manner of its participants.
Just remember this. If anyone denies that this Democratic debate was far superior to the Republican debates, they have their heads of their ass and like many present day bigots and corporate slaves,, you are not going to change their mind.

Black Lives Matter?
Mad Man is really mad today. No he is really pissed. Not one TV channel carried the 20 year anniversary of the Million Man March. Yet, on the west coast at least, Mad man was inundated with
the constant banter of the Presidential race which is 13 months away. What makes this so bad, CNN, et al, continued to report the same bullshit regarding the polls and the debates over and over again,
This was brought home more acutely while Mad Man was at the gym today, A white man asked Mad Man what he thought of the police killing all of these Black people. Mad Man's reply was "do you mean the "Black Lives Matter movement? " The man's reply was earth shatteringly simple, he asked, "what's that?"
If one were to pay attention, they would see how little respect the media and white people in general have for anything black. Black Lves matter only in entertainment and sports and even then black people are in the position of slaves.
There is a tremendous effort to down play the Black Lives Matter movement because it highlights, as usual, the inequities, by which the majority of black people must live. White people need black peole to entertain them and fill their prisons and nothing else.
So, as far as Mad Man s concerned, the Black Lives Matter movement will be treated like most movements by black people. It will continue to be viewed as an unreported nuisance.

Food For Thought
Did you know that 10% of the wealthiest Americans account for 76% of all of this country's wealth?
So far Donald Trump is playing the game correctly. He sounded like a fool to gain the media's attention and now, whether you like his message or not, he's sounding like a real politician. The Donald is very good at what he does which is marketing himself and making people believe it.
News alert !!!! Charter schools are not doing any better than the public schools in the education of our children. Yet, they are popular for one reason and one reason only. They were created to break the teacher's union, which is predominantly democratic.
Presidential candidate "JEB" has refused to sign a voting rights law as governor in the State of Florida. Why don't we just stop bullshiting and cut to the chase. Republicans are trying to diminish
the ability of people of color to vote.
The people in the Oregon where the shooting occurred at the college don't want President Obama to visit the parents of the shooting victims because they think he is politicizing the war against guns. What's the big deal? He told America that he was going to politicize gun control.
The Republican Party has gone completely crazy when their own
membership refuses to fill positions. "The Freedom Party" which I think is the new name of the very far right winged Tea Party is determined to move America back to the 50's.
