My fellow Americans,
I love the way that Richard Nixon said these words, "my fellow Americans" and as the present and future continues to demonstrate, he should be remembered as one of the least corrupt Presidents that has served this country. All that he did was break into a hotel room, get caught and lied about it.
Many of you have commented on Mad Man's propensity to go on and on about racism in this country and I know that it is hard for you to take because the topic in itself is ugly. Black people don't want to discuss it due to fear of pissing off White people in power and White people don't like talking about it because it pisses off White people in power.
More importantly, the discussion of race in America is taboo because we all just can't get past the horrible crime that was committed years ago called slavery. Black people have received their freedom without their "40 acres and a mule" and today's America feels that getting one's freedom was enough.
But, in Mad Man's rants about racism, bigotry, and dirty old White politicians and race baiters, I sometimes fail to realize that my White brothers and sisters are suffering the same as my people of color. There are a lot of you out there who are afraid to speak out for fear of being labeled an African American sympathizer which in some cases affects your ability to earn a living.
But, in many cases my White brothers and sisters are blinded by the lying, spinning, and constant divisional rhetoric that is being spewed by the Republican party and the bigots on TV that calls themselves commentators, while pretending to be journalists, commits them to their creed of "divide and conquer". Their methods are diabolically insidious and it's all about them taking your money, while reducing your standard of living, and giving it to those wealthy individuals who own these very amoral, unethical, and unscrupulous bastards.
While the Republicans Congress and the Tea Party faction of the GOP are pushing their tax cut legislation that's ripping the heart out of America and forcing Americans to live in "third world" conditions, their tactics are even more sinister than one would realize. These tax deductions are crippling cities across America and in reality all that should be happening is that everyone pays their fare share.
Ferguson is not the only city that fleeces its residents to garner more tax revenue. Mad Man wouldn't be surprised if most cities ran some sort of unethical, if not illegal scam to raise more revenue to operate. What Mad Man found out about how Los Angeles generates revenue in addition to its 9 3/4% sales tax makes the games that are being played in Ferguson, MO look like "penny ante poker".
Due to the average attention span of all humans being 18 minutes, Mad Man will cut this long letter short today and resume its writing
tomorrow.
