Another One Bites The Dust

Dennis Hastert, The former Speaker of the House in Congress has been indicted for having sexual relations with a man while the man was a student at the high school where Hastert was a teacher and paying the man, $ 3.5 million dollars to keep it quiet. This all happened at the Yorkville, Illinois school district where Hastert was the wrestling coach and teacher between 1965 and 1981.

Hastert was withdrawing large sums of money from his bank account while stating that he didn't trust banks which caused the Federal investigation. He started out withdrawing $ 50,000 dollars then reduced it to $ 10,000 increments when he felt that his withdrawals were getting suspicious.

As the Republican Party continues to pretend that their lives are not affected by homosexual behavior or all of the other things that they feel tarnishes their right winged, unrealistic, and very segregated existence, life just keeps coming back and biting them in the ass. As Mr. Hastert has tried to pay to keep his skeletons in the closet but failed and his crime is substantial because he abused a child.

Many Americans have become numb to the hypocrisy of their politicians so this story will probably go away as soon as another scandal breaks and there will be many more. It's business as usual and America's political system becomes more and more corrupt everyday when these lying, cheating, hypocrites are elected to office.

In addition to being numb, Americans are ignorant and blinded by many the politicians that spew hatred while keeping the races at each others throats instead of vetting these very unethical people. I am sure that Mr. Hastert has been on the ban gay marriage bandwagon from day one and yet he is a closet homosexual, child molester, or worse. Who knows how many more homosexual relationships he's had?

With the exception of his sexual dalliance being with a student, he did nothing wrong but because he sought elected office on the Republican side, he could not reveal his true identity. Furthermore, the FBI investigation is not going anywhere because Mr. Hastert is not claiming that he is a victim which will absolve the "Gentleman A" of exhortation and of he will say nothing because he has received $ 3.5 million dollars. 

If Americans would just stop fighting each other had step back and look at what these very hypocritical and unethical politicians are doing with the public's money, maybe some new people could gain office and more laws could be passed that would reflect a changing society.

There would have to be many, many laws passed because the shear nature of America's political system has been corrupted by money and when it is estimated that he next Presidential election will cost $ 1.5 billion dollars, it appears that nothing is going to change very soon.

Mr. Hastert committed a very serious crime and has bought his way out of it so that he could hold a public office which ended up being one of the highest offices in the land and the fact that he's a Republican makes it even more ironic.
