As the tsunami known as Donald Trump continues to spread his very negative message of hate and indignation across America, everyone should stop, take a deep breath, and run to higher ground. To take this man seriously would be the most egregious mistake that anybody can make.
The media is drooling and falling all over Mr. Trump because he is providing them with great theater and day after day of negative rhetoric that borders on racism and bombastic bigotry. Has Donald Trump said anything worthwhile about any legislation that would positively affect the American public? He has stopped talking about Mexicans being rapists and murders and has now begun to attack members of his own party. This is debatable because recently released early interviews show Mr. Trump admitting that he was leaning more to the side of the Democrats.
Many believe that Mr. Trump's negative momentum will eventually diminish but there is no doubt that his popularity is based solely on the support of those who feel that the Confederate flag is still a figure of liberty and justice in America. To be more succinct, Mr. Trumps popularity is a result of all of the open and closeted bigots in America who are just totally incensed that people of color and liberals are finally winning and appear to be taking "their" country from them.
The Republican party is also incensed because Mr. Trump is actually stating what they believe except that he is too belligerent to use "political speak" to "spin" the truth by using words that many Americans will not understand. All politicians talk around the truth but in almost all cases, the GOP is much more guilty than the Democrats.
Donald Trump will eventually talk his way out of contention for President of the United S, at least let's hope that he does, because his brand of government will surely destroy this country and the good will of the people.
