Say it ain't so, Joe!

As the media begins its obsession with their debate regarding a potential run for president by Vice President Joe Biden, it is Mad Man's opinion that Mr. Biden should disregard the temptation to appease the attention grabbing piranhas because they will eventually turn on him.

There are many reasons for Vice President Biden not to run for president and one of the greatest reasons is that there is a tremendous amount of respect that all Americans have for this man. Through his very natural life span, which mirrors all Americans he has demonstrated poise, kindness, and a spirit that defies any resemblance to being the cold, hard politician that it takes to run a political campaign.

In other words, Vice President Joe Biden is just like us. He has suffered hardships with the early deaths of his daughter Naomi in a car wreck and recently his son "Beau", who succumbed to brain cancer. Yet, Vice President Joe Biden took the time to convince his brotha' and boss, the President of the United States, Barrack Obama, that it was cool to accept gay people.

The very media that is clamouring for Mr. Biden to run for President will also ridicule him because again, like us, Joe Biden does not speak, nor "spin"  the truth like most politicians. He speaks like the everyday American and that is with a combination of non-political candor, facts and heart. 

All things considered, Mr. Biden has lived a long and wonderful life and he has suffered the trials and tribulations of longevity. He obviously chose the wrong profession but his heart and his yearning to serve has him where he is today. The orator, President Obama, took all of the pressure off Joe and he really had no problem with it at all. Another similarity between Joe Biden and many Americans is that he knows who he is and is at peace with himself.

Vice President Joe Biden is not part of the elitist crowd of intellectuals who feel that they need to control this country because no one else can. Mr. Biden is just a simple politician who felt that in his position he could make the United States of America a better place for all.

Mr. Biden, Mad Man is asking, no begging, you not to run for President of the United States because your heart and soul will be tarnished by those in the media and your opponents that are just salivating at the chance to demean you. Don't get me wrong, you are very capable, but why put yourself through the next 16 months of hell when you have so much more living to do.

You have done a tremendous job for 8 years as the President's "wing man" and your deeds have not gone unnoticed. Your and President Obama's partnership has been the most tumultuous in American history, but look at your accomplishments. So, why run for President and allow those petty people in the GOP and the media to tarnish your very honorable and groundbreaking successes.
