The Legendary Dean Smith

Dean Smith, who just passed away was the retired head coach at the University of North Carolina. He was fondly remembered as the only basketball coach in America who could hold Michael Jordan under 20 points a game, which was due mainly to his style of coaching that emphasized teamwork and not individuality.

Coach Smith was legendary as a basketball coach and only after his death is he getting respect as a humanitarian and civil rights leader. Unlike others who "talk the talk" while doing nothing, he quietly
"walked the walk" and changed the world for the better. As they say, "the world can be easily changed by one person at a time"

Rest in peace, Dean Smith because you were truly one of the good guys.
