To Little, too late?

"President Obama will not be in office very long because Black men cannot hold a job longer than 4 years."

"An African American woman in New Orleans was admitted into the hospital for a pregnancy termination. Two weeks later she received a check for $ 5,000.00. She phoned the hospital to ask who the check was from. The hospital informed the lady that the check was from "Crime Stoppers".

These two comments were contained in emails that were circulated throughout the Ferguson Police Department. The findings of these two documents were just the beginning of the investigation of The Department of Justice which has determined that the Ferguson Police Department has conducted itself in what has been the most racist miscarriage of justice to date.

The DOJ also found that although Ferguson's population is 67% African American, they were arrested and fined more frequently. 83% of African Americans were stopped, with 90% being issued citations. Even worse, 90% of the African American citizens of Ferguson were also arrested.

It would be quite interesting to find out how much pressure would be applied to the Grand Jury that was adjudicating whether or not Darren Wilson should be tried for the murder of Michael Brown. It is even more ridiculous that Darren Wilson came to Ferguson from a disbanded police department.

None of these findings probably would not have made a difference but it  would be quite eye opening to find out. But what is even worse than the strategic racism that is being practiced by the Ferguson Police Department is the fact that the issuance of tickets and fines was used to balance the city's budget. So, in essence, you had 67% of the population of Ferguson supporting 95% of the city's people while only receiving harassment in exchange.

Fortunately, the developments in Ferguson have opened the eyes of the Department of Justice and America because there are many more Ferguson Police Departments across this country that are using tickets and fines on African Americans to balance their city's budgets. And the use of African Americans as slaves continues.
