Good Friday

 Greetings my fellow Observers,

As I continue to walk around "The City of Angels", I find and experience things that I haven't observed and I've been here for over 30 years. There are some very exciting new developments happening in Los Angeles, but there are some existing things that should be observed.

The Gotham-like building on the top left is the Los Angeles City Hall which has a top notch observation deck at the very top which is, unknown to Mad Man until last week, a very highly visited observation deck. When in Los Angeles, this is an impressive and must see view of the city.

The picture on the upper right is of the 110 Harbor freeway as seen from the observation deck at city hall. It was the first freeway built in California and connects Pasadena in the north to San Pedro and the Pacific Ocean in the south. The 110 as it is affectionately called is full of curves and quite historical in the drive through the arroyo section of southern California.

The truck parked in front of city hall is delivering the triangle shaped glass panels to the new court house that was discussed in Mad Man's last Good Friday Observation. By the way, this new courthouse will carry the name of President Barrack Obama in addition to being called "The Los Angeles United States Courthouse".

For those of you who live in densely populated cities with beautiful and fully packed skylines, please note that Los Angeles is getting a late start because back in the day, tall buildings could not be constructed due to the affect of earthquakes. The engineering of the new buildings will allow for the Los Angeles skyline to become more densely populated with tall buildings and if you continue to be a Mad Man Observer, you will see them materialize right before your eyes.
