It all went down hill with the first question.
"Which one of you will not support the elected nominee for President if you are not that candidate"?
I paraphrase this question because it was an attempt by the Republican Party to show all of their constituents that Donald Trump was going to be a traitor by running as an independent, if he wasn't chosen as the Republican nominee for President. And, like all of this debate, this question was a smear campaign against one of their own.
Side Bar: Black people and you poor, (economically and naïve) white people. If you haven't received the memo, Mad Man is resending it right now. How can you expect fair and just treatment from rich, white Republicans if they are willing to devour their own like they did when they attempted to kill Donald Trump's political career in the very first question asked?
You must give Donald Trump some credit because he appears never to back down from an attack on him even when his response is rather nonsensical and extremely disrespectful. Mr. Trump was visibly pissed off because he accused Fox News and every white man's pin up girl Megan Kelly of being on her period as well as mentioning the notoriously mean Rosie O'Donnell when she started the debate with this question.
What was most obviously discerning about this debate was the lack of substantive discussion about how these Presidential candidates will improve the lives of all Americans. Mad Man knows that it's early but with this group of big business backed bigots, the conversation in August of 2016 will be the same. They will continue to spin their rhetoric to satisfy the illiterate masses while behind the scenes they are gaining favors with wall street and big business to insure their financial future.
This early debate was held for two reasons. One, to give Fox television a boost for continuing to perpetuate the very right-winged ideals of a few Americans while promoting the platforms of corporate America. Two, and this is the most important. The Republican Party must do something to stop the momentum of this bullet train called Donald Trump.
Their plan appears to be to place Donald in the debates to show how rude, ugly, and idiotic he can be when compared with the other more level headed candidates. The only problem is that the other men on the stage are afraid of Mr. Trump because he owns half of them through his political contributions. That old saying is so true... "There is no honor among thieves".
"The Donald" is a very serious problem for the GOP because he is considered to be an outsider and boorish. This is laughable because
the majority of the Republican Party are boorish, old,
and to say the least, closeted bigots. What do you expect from a group of old white men who would eagerly vote for the re-establishment of slavery if they could. Oh snap, they already have slavery in the form of every low wage earning American citizen who has to work three jobs just to feed their family.
They are against whites, blacks, Browns, and any other group of people who do not believe in their Christian and separatist values. Adolph Hitler comes to mind when I hear these men speak because in essence they are talking about the purity of their race and its salvation. Their values are behind the times and yet they refuse to adjust to a changing America and will throw anybody over the cliff to achieve their desired goals of the separation of wealth, a fair living wage, and an opportunity to live, without fear of guns in America.
Another clear indication of how unprepared these men in either debate are is the fact that they all are afraid of Donald Trump and refused to challenge him on any front. Rand Paul lobbed a statement and shut up immediately when Mr. Trump accused him of having a bad day.
The governor of Ohio, John Kasich appeared grounded when offering an alternative to Candidate Trump, but we must all remember that this is the same governor that has passed legislation in his state to deny Black people easy access to the polls to vote.
This charade of reality TV and nonsensical entertainment is nothing but a ratings boon for the networks and with the exception of the uncensored and off the cuff remarks by Donald Trump, it is definitely not worth watching.
Jeb Bush looks and sounds lost and in a daze because he doesn't want the truth to be told about what he really was doing to Florida during the housing crisis. Chris Christie's record in New Jersey is so terrible that he should be hiding somewhere. When challenged by a question about the bad shape of New Jersey, Mr. Christie responded, "you should have seen it before I got there"
Ben Carson is less than the spook who sat by the door, and Ted Cruz is a hypocrite of the highest order and like the rest, they are all scoundrels looking for ego gratification and wealth. None of them are interested in helping America deal with the changes that are occurring in our society and around the world.
But the media will continue to broadcast this show of very unethical men, who will lie and make whatever promises that they must to get the Republican Nomination for President. This party realizes that although they have corrupted the voting process to gain control of most states, they must gain control of the white house to solidify their agenda.
Lastly, to demonstrate the fraud that is being perpetrated by the Republican candidates in this debate, not one of them mentioned the phase "Black Lives Matter". I don't even remember hearing them use the word "black". African Americans, you should be very afraid if one of these men are elected President of the United States.
