Jeb Bush

Now that Jeb Bush has thrown his hat into the ring, the Clinton camp should be worried. Mr. Bush's "bank" is substantial and will probably be equal to what Hillary will raise and probably more. The establishment of old rich white men who are clamoring for the good old days are jumping for joy with ole' Jeb's announcement, however, there is a tiger in the Republican's tank that is anxious to get out and it is the young moderate Republicans.

These Republican millennials are anxious for their views to be heard on immigration, same sex marriage, the economy, terrorism, and most importantly, why the federal government is spending so much money to build and support other countries while Americans are working while receiving third world wages as it relates to the cost of living in this country.

Hillary has been and will continue to be the front runner for the Democrats because of the historical significance of her campaign. Many will vote for her because of this and if the women in America don't turn against her, she should win by a landslide, but alas, this is not a guarantee and one little slip of the tongue will get the Hillary bandwagon pushed over a cliff.

Jeb Bush does have a secret weapon and if he can get the bigots in his party to buy in to what he must support, he might just have a chance and that is immigration reform. Mr. Bush's wife is Hispanic and for him to not be in favor of immigration reform would be suicidal. There is a very large Hispanic vote out there waiting to be had and if Jeb plays his hand right and if he can get the old guard to buy in, he has a serious chance of giving Hillary a run for her money.

There are only three major measures that should be of concern to the American public and they are immigration reform, economic reform (wages), and ISIS. Immigration is a no brainer if the government would just allow those that are to gain a path to citizenship so that they could pay taxes with some of the billions that they are sending back home.

Economic reform is also very simple. While top executives are making ridiculous amounts of money, the average wage earner continues to struggle due to the increase in the cost of living in America. All Americans who want to work should be paid wages that would place them at least at the level of the poverty line or something more than $ 10.00 per hour.

When it comes to terrorism. Osama Bin Laden said it best. "if you want to bring America to its knees financially, make them afraid".
Our government is spending $ trillions of dollars in the middle east and at home trying to defeat ISIS and to be honest, we are losing.

The American public s also complicit in this misguided war on terrorism because while we all are telling our life's stories on Facebook, Twitter, and every other social media outlets, we're bitching about the government tracking our telephone calls.

Running a government is not an easy task especially when there are so many self centered hypocrites at the helm. Many African Americans probably feel like Mad Man in that they just try to make it through the day without getting shot and pay their bills on time.

Regardless of who wins the office of President, the partisanship and brinksmanship that goes on in Washington will lead to a business as usual government that we are experiencing today. Mad Man has one thought to share and that is if Jeb Bush is elected President, the Republican party will throw the American public some bones that could make their lives easier, just to embarrass the Obama presidency. Awe "buck", who am I fooling. These bigots aren't interested in sharing their money with anybody.

In the end, all of this is great theater and the storyline appears to always be the same. Regardless of who gets elected President,
the end of this story will always have the same sad ending.

Mad Man
